Wilderness Systems Commander 120 Fishing Kayak

Wilderness Systems Commander 120 Fishing Kayak Review

Wilderness Systems understands the ability to stand and fish. The Commander 120 is Wilderness’ entry into the hybrid canoe / kayak market. It is a great boat for protected waters such as ponds, lakes, rivers and creeks.

The 12′ length provides great tracking, and the pontoon style hull provides you the ability to stand up and pole, sight, or fish without the use of a rudder.

(2) flush mounted rod holders are in a great location for storage or trolling, with a Scotty style rod holder in the front of the boat for paddling and fighting a fish.

What We Think About The Wilderness Systems Commander 120 Fishing Kayak

It was only a matter of time before Wilderness Systems joined the hybrid kayak / canoe market. The Commander 120 is a great tracking boat at 12′ long and does not need a rudder to keep it in a straight line.

There is plenty of gear storage space in the bow and stern. If you fish in protected waters and prefer the layout of a canoe, but the maneuverability of a kayak, the Commander 120 is great.
