Native Watercraft Magic 12 Fishing Kayak Review

by Josh on June 29, 2010

The Native Watercraft Magic 12 is great for smaller lakes and rivers, as well as some choppy saltwater use. The seating is the same style seat you find in the Ultimate 12, but the deck design on the Magic 12 provides much more area for rigging and comfort.

At 12′ long you do not need a rudder in order to keep the boat moving in a straight line. Interior hull access is gained through a hatch behind the seat. The Adapt-A-Track rigging system helps you find the perfect placement for your gear.

What We Think…

If you need a fishing kayak for open waters, smaller lakes and rivers, or even some light duty saltwater use, the Native Watercraft Magic 12 fits the bill. Comfortable seating keeps you fishing all day without pain. The hull speed on the boat allows you to easily paddle upwind or up current without becoming tired.

Adapt-A-Track rigging system allows you to move your equipment and rigging around until you find the perfect position without having to drill holes into the boat itself.
